Ever catch yourself daydreaming about walking through a gorgeous house and thinking, “I could live here”? Now’s your chance.
The Short North Tour of Homes & Gardens is back on Sunday, September 21, 2025, giving you a self-guided pass to explore the Victorian Village and Italian Village neighborhoods and see some of the city’s most unique, eclectic homes up close.
This year’s tour celebrates the 50th Anniversary and honors the pioneers who believed in the Short North long before it became the artsy, vibrant neighborhood we know today. On the tour, nine homes show off historic architecture blended with modern livability. You’ll find solariums, four-season retreats, lush gardens with waterfalls, carriage house art studios, and yes, even man caves and mini bars.
For those who want a little extra sparkle, the Preview Tour & Party is Saturday, September 20, at the Circus House poolside terrace, 755 Dennison Avenue. Tour the homes from 4:30 to 7 p.m., then stick around for the party until 10 p.m. Tickets are limited, so grab them fast.
Tour-goers start at Goodale Park, 120 W. Goodale Ave, where tickets and tour maps are waiting. You can visit homes in any order you like and there is free shuttle service to hop between stops. Wear comfy shoes because you will be walking and don’t forget an umbrella if rain is in the forecast.
Tickets are $20 early bird online and $25 on the day of the tour. Free on-street parking is available on Sundays, plus nearby garages if you want guaranteed spots. Photos are encouraged and you can share your favorites with #shortnorthtour.
All proceeds benefit the Short North Civic Association, supporting neighborhood projects like Screen on the Green, the Goodale Park Music Series, and streetscape beautification.
