Columbus, prepare to be emotionally wrecked in the best way possible.
Outlander is coming to the stage this fall with “Outlander in Concert: Echoes Through the Highlands,” and yes, it sounds exactly like the kind of night where you’ll be quietly humming the theme song the entire way home.
The touring show is making a stop at the Palace Theatre on October 7, bringing a full-on cinematic concert experience to Columbus.
Fans can expect scenes from all eight seasons projected on a massive screen while a live ensemble performs the music in real time. That includes the instantly recognizable score by Bear McCreary, complete with bagpipes, fiddles, and even a hurdy-gurdy, which feels very on brand for a show that has time travel, romance, and just a touch of chaos.
The concert was created with help from showrunner Matthew B. Roberts, and it pulls together some of the most memorable moments from the series, along with footage from the newly released final season. So yes, you may want to emotionally prepare in advance. Or at least bring tissues. No judgment from me, because I’ll be there crying too.
Tickets start at $49 and go on sale Friday, March 27 at 10 a.m. through CAPA.
Based on how devoted Outlander fans are, this feels like one of those events that could sell quickly. After all, when given the chance to hear “The Skye Boat Song” live, are you really going to say no?
Whether you’re fully caught up or still somewhere in the middle of Claire and Jamie’s very complicated timeline, this is a rare chance to experience the story in a completely different way. You can get more info, or snag your tickets, by visiting capa.com.
