Celebrate Ladies Who Create At The Women Make Columbus Bandana Art Show

Want to see what happens when an incredibly talented group of women-owned businesses and creatives work together? Spoiler alert, it’s very cool.

On March 7th, Columbus Printed Arts Center will host the first-ever Women Make Columbus Bandana Art Show. The first of it’s kind, the show will feature a curated group of prominent Columbus women artists who have created 9 unique bandanas representing 9 select women-owned businesses.

The show is organized by local artist, Agostina Ele, who wanted to highlight the immense amount of talented female artists in this city. The line up of artists for the show have a diverse range of styles and an extensive collective resume of local and international work. The Businesses commissioning each artist are familiar powerhouse brands that have been built by women. The 9 bandanas featured represent the creativity, originality and depth that women bring to the table.

The bandanas will be available for purchase for $30 each with 100% of the profits going straight back to the artist! Each bandana will have have a super small run of only 25 per piece, making them an incredibly exclusive item, likely selling out at the event! If you don’t get your hands on one, the show will remain on display until March 29th.

All artwork will be printed by Jess Hinshaw of Upright Press, who is no stranger to collaborating with brands and artists. His annual event Prints & Pints similarly helps local designers create unique posters for Ohio microbreweries that sometimes sell out within minutes of the event beginning! Agostina and Jess are hoping for a similar response from the community to support women artists!

The opening reception fittingly falls on eve of International Women’s Day, March 7th, and will run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Columbus Printed Arts Center and is free to attend. It’s a party you don’t want to miss. Guests can snack on Pistacia Vera Cookies and drink Brewdog Beer all night long provided by the hosts. A Best in Show will be judged by the ladies of Creative Babes and announced at the event. A great way to spend a Saturday night if you ask me.

Artists and Businesses included in the show are:

Chelsea Bunn with Jeni’s Ice Creams
Natasha Wheeler with Jewelweed
Annie Russell with Small Talk Shop
Cassidy Marietta with Happy Go Lucky
Allison Backovski with Wild Cat Gift and Party
Lucie Shearer with Ebb and Float
