Wizard World Columbus Announces Guests, Including Jason Mamoa

Wizard World Comic Con is one of my favorite events of the year.

I and thousands of other nerds pour into the Greater Columbus Convention dressed in our best costumes and ready to wait for hours, hoping to glimpse our favorite actors, writers, artists, and more.

Myself and Catherine Tate. I like to think she was also excited to meet me.

Last year, I had the opportunity to hear panels from a wide variety of talented people, including David Tennant, and I even got to snap a selfie with Donna Noble herself, Catherine Tate.

I wasn’t exactly sure how that experience could ever be topped, but Wizard World is going to do it again. This year’s guest lineup is out, and trust me, you will not be disappointed. If you’re anything like me, you’re probably jumping for joy. Take a deep breath while we unpack all of this.

Jason Mamoa. You know, Khal Drogo, Aquaman, Ronan Dex, Man of everyone’s dreams. That Jason Mamoa.

Billy Boyd aka my FAVORITE HOBBIT OF ALL TIME. I volunteer to bring you elevensies, Billy.

And we can’t not talk about the woman, the myth, the legend, Holly Marie Combs. I spent hours as a pre-teen thinking “If only I could be like Piper.”

Now I’m probably going to make some people upset with this next statement, but I believe that Stargate Atlantis is the best series in the franchise, so I’m pretty stoked to see Jewel Staite and Joe Flanagan as well. If only the rest of the cast was coming as well…

The full lineup hasn’t been released yet and more guests will be added, but for now, there is something for everyone. From Jon Heder of Napolean Dynamite to Cyborg aka Ray Fisher. You can see them and grab a photo op with your favorites.

The photo ops vary in price from $40-$105, depending on which stars you’re snapping a pic with. 3-day, general admission passes for the con are $79.95 and VIP passes vary. The con will be held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center from June 8-10. For more information or to purchase your tickets now, please click here.

Let’s get geeky, Columbus.
