There are so many wonderful things about living on the South End of Columbus.
But the things that really has my heart beating right now is the fact that Way Down Yonder has officially reopened, and they’ve done it in my neck of the woods.
Just in case you aren’t aware, Way Down Yonder serves up authentic New Orleans cuisine, from gumbo to beignets. Naturally, the restaurant has a distinct, Mardi Gras decor with a super friendly staff that embody the spirit of the Big Easy.
It was opening day, so we were prepared to wait a while. And we definitely did. But let me be the first to say, the worth was 100% worth it. Our food was flavorful, cooked to perfection, and the very definition of comfort food.
Way Down Yonder is located at 3847 S High St, Columbus, OH 43207, in a former Long John Silver’s. They’re open Tuesday-Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Do yourself a favor and get down there ASAP. You won’t regret it!
