Is Your Daughter The Next Big Broadway Star? Open Auditions For “Waitress” In Columbus

Do you think your daughter has what it takes to make it on the stage? You’ll soon have a chance to find out.

The Tony-nominated musical Waitress is making its Columbus premiere at the Ohio Theatre in November, and they are holding auditions to find two young actresses to perform the role of “Lulu” during the November 7-12 run of the show.

“Lulu” is a sweet and carefree little girl, around 5 years old. She appears in the finale of the show. Auditions will be held at the Ohio Theatre rehearsal space on Tuesday, October 3. The first session is from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The second session is from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Only one session is required for those auditioning.

Young girls auditioning for the role should be no older than 5 years and 3 months, and less than 4 feet 2 inches tall. The auditions will only take about 5 minutes each, and each actress will be required to read two lines from the show. Acting experience isn’t required, but if possible, parents should bring a current headshot and resume.

Good luck to all young girls auditioning. Show them what you’ve got!
