The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team Is Playing Sweden In Columbus This November

The U.S. Women’s National Team is coming to Columbus.

The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup champions will be in town to face Sweden on November 7 at MAPFRE Stadium. As usual, the team is kicking butt this year, with only one loss to France in their first match of the year. They’re currently in the midst of a 14-game winning streak.

The U.S. Women have a long history here in Columbus. The US first played at MAPFRE Stadium after the 1999 Women’s World Cup and they’ve played 8 matches here over the years, including their 3-0 victory over North Korea in the 2003 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Tickets for the upcoming match against Sweden go on sale to the public Thursday, Sept. 26, at 10 a.m. ET through

Sweden is currently ranked sixth in the world after finishing in third place at the World Cup this summer. The teams met five months ago in the final Group F match at the World Cup, where the US pulled out a 2-0 victory.
