Columbus Will Host The U.S. Men’s National Team Vs. Costa Rica At Lower.com Field

The U.S. men’s national team is coming back to Columbus.

The team will play at Lower.com Field for the 2022 World Cup CONCACAF qualifying match against Costa Rica on October 13, according to a report by Massive Report.

The match up won’t be the only big game played in Ohio. FC Cincinnati’s home, TQL Stadium, will host the U.S. World Cup qualifier against Mexico in November. That match is typically held in Columbus, so some fans expressed disappointment in the decision.

The qualifying game against Costa Rica is just one step towards the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The U.S. will have to finish in the top three out of the eight teams in CONCACAF. In addition to the games against Costa Rica and Mexico, the U.S. will also play Canada, El Salvador, Honduras, Jamaica, and Honduras.
