This Zanesville Singer’s Performance On America’s Got Talent Left Simon Cowell In Tears

We all know that Ohio is home to some truly incredible artists.

Every now and then we’re all treated to magical musical experiences. When Jane Marczewski, aka NightBirde, walked on stage for her audition on America’s Got Talent, you could tell it was going to be special.

Nightbirde took the stage in front of the four AGT judges, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum, and the sometimes cantankerous Simon Cowell. Before she sang her original piece, titled “It’s Okay”, she shared her ongoing battle with cancer with the audience.

During the show, the artist shared that doctors have told her that she only has a 2% chance of surviving. But Nightbirde hasn’t allowed that news to dim her shine. “Two percent is not zero. Two percent is something.”

Her overwhelming positivity was noticeable from the moment she took the stage, but you really felt it most once she began the song. The no-fuss track reminds us all that it’s okay to not be okay.

After the song was over, the judges were quick to compliment Nightbirde, not just on her vocal talent, but on her strength and positivity. Simon Cowell was moved to tears by the performance and instead of having the judges vote, he pressed the Golden Buzzer, which each judge can only use once per season.

You can follow Nightbirde’s journey by giving her a follow on Instagram and by watching America’s Got Talent, which airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
