Summer is upon us. With the hot weather comes plenty of opportunities to get out and do something fun.

Of course, you know there are festivals galore, farmers’ markets, and summer movies. But there are also some amazing concerts, musicals, family-friendly events, and so much more.

Here are the 23 things you won’t want to miss this month.

Jack White

What: Jack White may have shocked fans when he first announced his phone-free show, but that didn’t stop people from buying tickets in droves. If you’re lucky enough to have snagged a spot at this sold-out show, you probably know that although you can’t pull your phone out during the concert, you can still access your cell in the lobby at any time.

Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins

What: Get summer started with the Stephen Sondheim classic, Assassins. The show takes a dark-yet-comedic look at some of the worlds most desperate souls. Tickets are available via shortnorthstage.org.

Hidden Figures – Summer Kids Film Series

What: Looking for something fun to do with the kiddos? The Drexel Theatre is hosting their annual Summer Kids Film Series. This weekend, the theatre will be showing Hidden Figures. Tickets are $1 for kids 12 and younger, and $3 for 13+.

Lesley James at Little Rock

What: Beloved former CD 102.5 DJ Lesley James will be playing songs all night long at Little Rock. In true LR fashion, there’s “no cover. Never will be.”

The Moonlight Market on Gay Street

What: Skip the heat and head out once the sun goes down. Moonlight Market draws thousands of visitors per month to businesses along Gay Street. There are also over 100 sidewalk vendors selling more artisan goods than you’ll know what to do with. Stroll, shop, have fun. It’s that simple.

PBJ & Jazz Family Concerts

What: Pack up the fam and head to the Topiary Park downtown for PBJ & Jazz. The family concert will start with story time at the Columbus Main Library, followed by a jazz concert and craft time. The event is free and open to all.

Westgate Home and Garden Tour

What: Featuring “Unexpected” Homes and/or Gardens on Saturday, June 9th, 2018, Ohioans are invited to see just what makes Westgate so in-demand and unexpected. Tickets are $12 in advance and can be purchased here.

Steve Earle & The Dukes – Presented by WCBE

Old Oaks Home & Garden Tour 2018

What: Walk around Old Oaks at your own pace on their self-guided Home & Garden Tour. All of the houses are beautiful, but you definitely won’t want to miss the Caroline Brown house, which is opening its doors to the public for just the second time in over 40 years. Tickets are $12 for Old Oaks Civic Association Members and $15 for the public.

Matisyahu & Stephen Marley: Strength to Strength Tour
