Columbus is SO Gay: An Image History of LGBTQ Activism | November 1

What: Join Dr. Ken Schneck as he displays images from his work LGBTQ Columbus: Images of Modern America highlighting the heroes and villains that are part of the fabric of Columbus’ LGBTQ history.

March Through Time at Ohio History Center | November 9

What: Take the whole family to explore Ohio’s military history in March Through Time. All Veterans will receive free admission to the Ohio History Center on 11/9. Active duty and military family members will receive a $2 discount.
When: November 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Ohio State Reformatory Ghost Hunt | November 15

What: Search for ghosts at Ohio State Reformatory. The evening will include a psychic medium, a history tour, ghost hunting vigils, and dinner. There will be unlimited refreshments available throughout the night, including tea, coffee, hot chocolate, soft drinks, bottled water, and a selection of snacks.

Green Gala | November 16

What: Join the Ohio Environmental Council on Saturday, November 16, at the Columbus Downtown Hilton for a spectacular evening celebrating five decades of environmental progress. Guests will honor trailblazers who have fought for a healthier environment for all Ohioans as the evening looks forward at what’s to come.

Thurber House Presents Senator Sherrod Brown | November 17

What: Thurber House is pleased to present U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown in partnership with Gramercy Books. Sen. Brown will be discussing his new book, Desk 88, which profiles eight senators who sat there before him. They range from Hugo Black, who helped to lift millions of American workers out of poverty, to Robert F. Kennedy, whose eyes were opened by an undernourished Mississippi child, to Idaho’s Glen Taylor, a singing cowboy who stood up to segregationists.

Wildlights at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium | starting November 15

What: Whether you have been a coming to Wildlights every year or if this is your first year, this is definitely an event that you won’t want to miss out on. Thousands of lights will illuminate the zoo, creating a truly magical experience for the whole family.

Les Misérables | starting November 19

What: Cameron Mackintosh presents the new production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, Les Misérables, direct from an acclaimed two-and-a-half-year return to Broadway. With its glorious new staging and dazzlingly reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo, this breathtaking new production has left both audiences and critics awestruck.
