The best kind of holiday fun is the kind that doesn’t cost any money.

The holiday season can get expensive. Luckily, there are plenty of fun, free activities around Columbus to help get you into the holiday spirit. The McCoy Center is getting in on the fun by hosting a free screening of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation on Tuesday, November 23, at 7 pm.

The screening will utilize the Mershad Digital Experience, a state-of-the-art digital projection and sound system. The event is free, but movie-goers are encouraged to bring non-perishable food or cash donations for the 2021 Thanksforgiving 4 Miler charity run.

The charity race will take place on Thanksgiving Day in New Albany. The proceeds from the charity run benefit the Mid-Ohio Food Bank, Life Care Alliance, and the New Albany Thanksviging Day fund at the New Albany Community Foundation.

The screening is free, but you’ll need to reserve a ticket. Reservations can be made on the McCoy Center website. Ticket holders 12 years of age and older will need to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test in order to enter the screening.
