Sneak Peek: The Lox Bagel Shop In The Short North

Is there anything worth waking up more for than bagels?

We’ve talked about bagels in Columbus before, but there’s something very important opening (hopefully) next week and you’re going to have to taste it for yourself to believe it.

The Lox Bagel Shop, at 772 N High St., is hoping to open by December 17 and we were lucky enough to get a little sneak peek on the action.

The shop is amazing. For December, they’ll be open at 8 a.m. until they sell out. Once we get into 2019, the shop will change the hours from 7 a.m. until sell-out, or 3 p.m., whichever comes first. But let’s be real, it will be until they sell out, because these bagels are legit.

The Lox is focusing on four flavors of bagels with high-quality toppings, including Traditional Lox (made with picked cukes, smoked fish, cream cheese & capers) and Traditional Egg Bacon & Cheese.

Owner Kevin Crowley spent six years at NorthStar Cafe where he learned all about making quality food for Columbus. He did all the right kinds of research before diving into the world of bagels and my favorite part of this whole thing is that The Lox will actually make bagels the way they’re supposed to be made, boiled and then baked.

To get more updates on when The Lox will be officially open, you can follow them on Instagram.

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for all the bagels.
