The Chicken & Beer Festival Is Happening Downtown This Weekend

Nothing says summer in Ohio quite like beer and chicken.

The Chicken & Beer Festival will be rolling into West Bank Park this weekend, full of Columbus’ best fried chicken and delicious ales. The festival is a family affair, kind of like a backyard barbeque but with hundreds of your neighbors from around the city.

The festival will run from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 2 and admission is totally free. Of course, your chicken and beer will cost you. West Bank Park is located between W Town St. and Rich St. on Washington Blvd.

Food trucks providing chicken dishes and other treats include:

    Chicky Chicky Waffle
    Mya’s Fried Chicken
Trucking Delicious – Food Truck and Catering
    The Cluck Wagon
    Hogback Bbq Pit
    Sweet-T’s Southern Style Food Truck
    Sweet Tooth Ice Cream Trucks

Beer selections will feature some great local brewers, as well as some classics, including Pabst, Land-Grant, Rhinegeist, North High Brewing, Founders, New Belgium, Four String, Seventh Son, Bells, and Actual Brewing Co.

It wouldn’t be a backyard barbeque though without some sweet jams and entertainment. Board games will be provided by Table Top Games and there will even be some giant lawn games.

The line-up for the event is:

    1:00 pm FPA songwriters
    1:30 pm SlimFit
    2:30 pm The Quasi Kings
    3:10 pm Chris Manchester
    4:05 pm Paisha
    5:00 pm Kristen Marie Quartet
    6:00 pm Urban Tropic
    7:00 pm fo/mo/deep
7:50 pm Senseless & Shad Jones
    8:15 pm Mistar Anderson

Chicken. Beer. And your best friends. What more could you want?
