The Annual Andyman-A-Thon Is Back Again With Good Jams For A Great Cause

CD 92.9 is back with the 29th Annual Andyman-A-Thon.

The annual radio drive will be taking over the station from December 3-5, accepting donations in exchange for playing your favorite song. Literally, you can pick any song, donate some money, and they’ll make sure you hear it.

Contributions will benefit organizations like Nationwide Children’s Hospital, The Ohio Special Olympics, Home For Families, and more.

The DJ who inspired it all was the one and only John “Andyman” Davis. Andyman was a straight-up icon, with kindness and good taste in abundance. As a father, Andyman was passionate about nonprofits serving children in Central Ohio.

One year, he decided to stay on the air for 48 hours, taking requests in exchange for donations, and thus, the Andyman-a-Thon was born.

After the tragic and unexpected loss of Andy in 2010, the Thon has remained part of CD 92.9’s annual lineup. Last year, the Thon raised $36,838 to donate to Columbus children’s charities.

The Thon will kick off on December 3 at 7 p.m. and continue through December 5 at 7 p.m. If you’d like to donate in advance and put in an early request, please visit cd929fm.com/thon. For more information about the Andyman-A-Thon, please click here.
