I’m going to let you in on a little secret that will probably change your plans this weekend.
Although Swensons in Dublin isn’t officially open until November 9, you can already stop in for a Galley Boy and fries. I know because we went there for lunch today and it was glorious.
If you’ve never dined at Swensons Drive-In, it’s pretty simple. When you pull in, flash your headlights and someone will head over to your car with a menu. Once you’re ready to order, you flash your lights again and the server will be back and you’ll be one step closer to chowing down.
Your food will be delivered on a tray that can attach to your passenger side window or rest on your lap. When you’ve finished your food, flash your lights again and the server will come to collect your trash and take your payment. In the olden days, the servers would have been running back inside, but since it’s 2018, they have a little handheld POS device where you can swipe or insert your card for payment!
Swensons Drive-In is located at 7490 Sawmill Rd, in Dublin. For more info, please visit their website here. They are open Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to Midnight and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.
