St. Louis Paper Names Columbus A Hip City To Visit

In an article by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch last Friday, Columbus was featured as a city with “Hip neighborhoods” and “fun attractions [that] make it worth the visit”. The article came as a spin-off to a travel piece the paper did on “One Tank Trips: 6 Big Cities Near St. Louis” which originally excluded Columbus but, due to some very vocal internet comments, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch decided to visit our city and include it in its very own write-up.

Among the places mentioned are Worthington, German Village, and the Brewery District, citing their many restaurants and unique local craft beers. It’s great to know that others can appreciate our city as much as we do but it’s difficult to imagine the parts of our city that didn’t make the list, such as; the revitalized Old Towne East district, The Short North, The Park Street district, not to mention the various suburbs that only add to Columbus’ unique character.

Other attractions highlighted were COSI, The Columbus Museum of Art, and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.

In a city that’s only growing and expanding at such a rapid rate, we’re more and more likely to see this type of national attention and, in a pretty cool city like ours, we more than deserve it.
