Smart Columbus will host the grand opening of their brand new Experience Center on June 30, and you’re invited.
The Smart Columbus Experience Center is located on the Scioto Mile and will serve as an innovative place where you can see, touch, and hear about the future of mobility in Columbus. The Grand Opening will kick off at 11 a.m. with Mayor Andrew J. Ginther, State Senator Stephanie Kunze a,d Central Ohio Transit Authority CEO Joanna Pinkerton sharing how everyone can help make central Ohio safer and more sustainable through smart mobility.
After the speakers, you can head off to explore the center, including hands-on demonstrations and interactive educational exhibits.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Smart Mobility Block Party will be going on all around the Experience Center. You can get a taste for electric vehicles by taking a test drive in a BMW i3, Chevy Bolt, Chevy Volt, Chrysler Pacifica, Honda Clarity, Mercedes-Benz GLE 550e, Nissan LEAF, Tesla Model S or Tesla Model X. You can also learn how to zip around Columbus safely by bike at “How We Roll” and encourage the kids to do the same at the kid’s bike safety workshop. In addition to the fun, food, information, and prizes, attendees will also receive free admission to COSI for the day and a free ride to COSI in via Hopper Cart.
