The Second City Touring Company Is Coming To Columbus

Some of the greatest comedians of our time have made their way into the hall of fame by way of The Second City.

The Second City first opened its doors in December of 1959. The Chicago improv group was experimental and unconventional in its approach to both theatre and comedy. At a time when mother-in-law jokes were more the fashion, The Second City railed against the conformist culture with scenes that spoke to a younger generation.

Involvement in the group reaches all corners in the comedy world, with stars such as Alan Arkin, Mike Myers, Barbara Harris, Stephen Colbert, Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, John Belushi, Tina Fey, Dan Aykroyd, Gilda Radner, and many, many more.

Now, that legendary sketch comedy and improv group are bringing their tour, “Look Both Ways Before Talking” to Columbus. The show is a mix of scripted scenes, music, and improv, full of social and political satire.

Presented by CAPA, The Second City Touring Company: Look Both Ways Before Talking will be in town at the Lincoln Theatre on March 29 at 8 p.m. and March 30 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $30 and can be purchased via Ticketmaster.
