We’re Gonna Need A Bigger Park! Head Down To Goodale Park To Watch JAWS Under The Stars

Let’s go to the movies, friends.

Pack up your favorite chair or blanket, grab your mask, and head down to Goodale Park for a free movie under the stars. Screen on the Green is featuring an iconic summer blockbuster, JAWS, at their August 21 screening.

The movie will be projected onto a giant inflatable screen with cinema-quality sound and showtime will kick off a little after sunset. Of course, it wouldn’t be a night out at the movies without some fun treats to go along with the film.

Queens Table and J-Pops will be on site serving up tasty treats and there will also be free popcorn available (while supplies last) from Fibonacci’s Pizzeria. Due to COVID-19, there are some rules for the screening.

  • Spatial distancing will be required. The field will be marked at 10′ intervals to help you find a good spot.
  • Mask wearing is encouraged at all times & masks will be required when you’re not seated.
  • A table will be set up near the food area for hand sanitizing and mask sales. You can also pick up small trash bags there for your food containers, etc. All guests are asked to remove their own trash from the park.

The event will have masks available onsite for purchase. They are limited-edition masks by Columbus designer Esther Myong Hall that pair with the movie selection. Limited free parking is available in an adjacent lot, metered & app parking is available on adjacent streets, and the Convention Center garage is also in easy walking distance.
