The Scioto Mile Fountain Will Be Open Through September 6

One of the best splash pads in town has reopened.

The fountains at Scioto Mile have been closed not only due to COVID-19 concerns, but also to complete major repairs.

The 15,000 square foot fountain had a leak in the piping underground in addition to other issues. Initially, the fountain wasn’t expected to reopen until 2022. However, the fountain was repaired just in time for families to enjoy one month of splashing before it closes for the season after Labor Day.

The Scioto Mile Fountain will be open daily from August 2 through September 6, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be special activities held at the fountain on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be a reopening festival at the fountain on August 2. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., families can gather listen to speakers, participate in family-family friendly activities, and grab a free popsicle from J-Pops (for the first 250 attendees.)
