Ready To Scream? Columbus’ ScareAtorium Opens This Weekend

One of the biggest frights in Central Ohio will open its doors this weekend. The ScareAtorium is back for its 8th season, and it promises bigger and better scares.

Opening night at the ScareAtorium is Friday, September 22. Returning guests can expect new rooms, as well as changes throughout the rooms they know and love. Once again, there will be a DJ for guests waiting in line, as well as fun giveaways.

The ScareAtorium offers two haunted house experiences: Northland Asylum and RIP’s 3D Funhouse. The ScareAtorium claims that the Northland Asylum located on the site of a real former institution. According to legend, the Asylum was open from 1899 through the mid-1900s. The haunted house draws on the original stories and legends to create a one-of-a-kind experience.

Tickets for opening weekend are $20 and are available both at the door, and online. Parking is free. The ScareATorium is not recommended for kids under the age of 12.

Be sure to let us know if you’re heading out to any spooky sites around Columbus! I’ll be at a few this year. You’ll know it’s me if you see a grown woman crying and begging to be let out of the haunted house.
