ROY G BIV Gallery Is Officially Open At Their New Home In Franklinton

One of our city’s most iconic galleries is finally back.

ROY G BIV is a non-profit art gallery that was founded in the Short North Arts District in 1989. But now, they’ve started a new chapter in their story in the heart of Franklinton. The new gallery space is part of the River & Rich development at 435 W Rich Street.

The gallery opens this weekend with a celebration of ROY artists called The ROY Family Reunion Exhibition. Dozens of works from 1989-today will be on display, featuring artists who have showcased with ROY G BIV since the very beginning. Artists, art lovers, and new and old friends are encouraged to come and check out the new digs from 7 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, May 3.

If you can’t make it to the opening event, don’t worry. You can check out the gallery on May 10 when they participate in their first Franklinton Friday event. Plus, the Family Reunion Exhibition will be on display until June 9. And of course, I have a few photos for you to get your fix right now. I wouldn’t leave you hanging!
