Ray Ray’s Hog Pit Is Rolling Up To Powell Later This Month

Ray Ray’s Hog Pit is opening a new food truck at Noctera Brewing in Powell later this month.

This is the fourth location for Ray Ray’s and like the other spots, they will be open Thursday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. The food truck will be available to taproom and non-taproom guests, who will have easy access to the location of the truck in the beer garden.

The menu will be familiar for fans of Ray Ray’s other locations, but it will have an even stronger focus on sourcing pork from Anderson Farms in Granville, owned by RayRay’s owner James Anderson. In true Ray Ray’s fashion, a custom barbecue sauce will join the line-up featuring Nocterra’s flagship beer, Beta Flash.

It may seem like a difficult time to open a new location, but owner James Anderson seems to have a very, “If you build it, they will come” attitude.

“I feel I can open this new location in good faith during the pandemic because the demand is there,” said Anderson. “The demand is far higher than the supply for prepared foods during the pandemic, so I feel that RayRays will be well received in Powell.”

The company brought one of its original food trucks out of retirement for the new spot and Anderson even teased a new exciting dish. No details were released and Anderson ended the press release by saying “you’ll never guess what it is.”

Color me intrigued! What do you think RayRays will be adding to their new menu? A new side? A delicious dessert? I guess we’ll have to wait and find out. The new location will open on May 16 at Nocterra Brewing. You can follow RayRays on Instagram for more updates here.
