This summer is going to be great. We’re fortunate to live in a city that gets great touring acts, and this year is no exception.
In May, June, and August, Promo West is bringing three of the biggest shows to the capital city: Ghostface Killah, Coldwar Kids, and Lindsey Stirling.
For those of you who somehow don’t know, Ghostface Killah is one of the original members of legendary rap crew, the Wu-Tang Clan. He has been working as a solo artist since 1996 and he’s one of the most prolific rappers of all time.
Like Pitchfork Media said, “Ghostface has unparalleled storytelling instincts; he might be the best, most colorful storyteller rap has ever seen.” He’ll be performing at the Newport Music Hall on May 8, 2018. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $30. You should purchase your tickets now because you won’t want to miss this.
Just announced on Wednesday, Cold War Kids will be taking the stage at Newport Music Hall on June 13. The band is promoting their sixth album, LA Divine, which is essentially a “tribute to Los Angeles and all its strange glory.”
Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $25 in advance and $28 at the door. The pre-sale for this event has already started, but public sale starts March 9 at 10 a.m. Don’t wait too long if you’re wanting to check the band out. They’ve sold out before and they probably will again. Click here for more info.
My birthday isn’t until September, but I already know I’ll be celebrating a little early. On August 8, 2018, award-winning electric violinist Lindsey Stirling will be putting on an epic outdoor show at Express Live!
Stirling is a whole package performer. She’s all about big dreams and having confidence and all of that shows when she’s on stage. Tickets start at $36 and go on sale Friday, March 9 at 10 a.m. The concert is rain or shine and doors open at 6:30 p.m.
