A special symphonic celebration is coming to Columbus in September.
Presented by CAPA and Live Nation Urban, “4U: A Symphonic Celebration of Prince” is the first and only official symphonic Prince celebration and tribute concert. The show will feature the music of the iconic artist with a full symphony orchestra, a live-band, and world-class vocalist.
The show was curated by Questlove, the drummer and co-frontman for The Roots, who is well-known for his Prince knowledge and fandom. The concert will show off Prince’s massive catalog, from his biggest hits to his lesser-known gems.

“It’s such a blessing to be able to pay homage to and celebrate the music of a creative genius like Prince. One of the goals of Live Nation Urban is to create unique live platforms and to redefine what the norms of the live experience are,” said Shawn Gee, president of Live Nation Urban. “We are beyond excited to be working alongside the Estate in creating what we hope to be a long-standing artistic celebration of an artist who inspired so many.
The show will start it’s tour in Washington D.C. on September 9, traveling around the country for a little over month before closing out in Kansas City on October 21. The tour will stop in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland, as well as dozens of other midwest locations.
