Plank’s Bier Garten In German Village Will Reopen June 17

Plank’s Bier Garten will reopen June 17.

The iconic German Village pizza place closed in December 2016 after a fire damaged the building. Although the restaurant initially expected to reopen in 2017, snags in the renovation caused Plank’s to delay.

After nearly a year and a half, the restaurant has plans to reopen to the public soon. In addition to the new interior renovations, there have also been updates to the menu. But don’t worry, they will still have the best pizza in town.

After discovering that the small fire had done more damage than initially believed, the owners chose to replace all of the electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems. The bathrooms are also brand new, and a larger kitchen will help the staff incorporate the new menu items.

The renovations also include a new bar, garage doors that open to the front patio, and a newly bricked back patio.

The Grand Opening will take place on June 17 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Following their opening, hours will be Monday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. The kitchen closes an hour before close Sunday through Thursday, and at 11 p.m. on Friday & Saturday.
