Pizzuti Companies Moving Forward On Mixed-Use Developments In Short North
The Pizzuti Companies has a lot going on in the Short North these days. Pre-leasing has now begun for the mixed-use development at N High St. and W First Ave., which was recently approved by the Victorian Village Commission.
“Its location, in the heart of the Short North Arts District, is second-to-none and will further enhance the neighborhood’s reputation as a leading destination in the Midwest,” said Joel S. Pizzuti, president of The Pizzuti Companies. “We truly appreciate the thoughtful feedback from the Victorian Village Commission, the City of Columbus and our future neighbors as we’ve worked through this process.”
One block south, at the current site of the Grandview Mercantile, a four-story office & retail building will be built. The project will include 45,000 square feet of office space, 12,000 square feet of retail space, and additional parking, both surface and below ground.
“The mix of first-class office space, luxury apartments and a combination of top national and local retailers will make the new development at First Avenue and High Street a premier place to live and work in Columbus,” said Pizzuti.
At 40 W First Ave, a six-story residential building with 120 residential units and a 122-space parking garage is also in the works.
Potential tenants are in the works for all of the buildings and groundbreakings are planned for late this year. This fall, the Grandview Mercantile will move to its new location, which will be announced soon.
