This weekend, you can take a step back in time as you tour the historic homes of Olde Towne East.
The Olde Towne East Summer Tour of Historic Homes features 14 stops, including two gardens and a historic church designed by architect Frank Packard.
The Tour takes place on Sunday, July 15 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Olde Towne East and Franklin Park neighborhoods.
The 2018 OTE Summer Tour of Historic Homes begins at Franklin Park Community Garden Campus. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the tour and can be purchased online at www.oldetowneeast.org or in person at the Corner Stone Craft Beer and Wine Store.
While the entire tour is walkable, shuttle stops will be provided for guests who would like to hitch a ride. Food trucks will be available about halfway through the tour, with restroom breaks as well.
The tour takes about three hours to complete, so be sure you start walking with plenty of time, as the buildings will be closed to the public at 6 p.m. Free parking is available at Wolfe Park, Cleo Dumaree Athletic Complex, and on neighborhood streets.
