Here’s How Ohio Breweries Fared At The 2017 GABF Competition

Another Great American Beer Festival has come to a close. This year, Ohio had nine winners that took home medals ranging from bronze to gold.

GABF 2017 had over 8,100 entries from 2,290 breweries. Awards were given out in 98 categories that represented 160 different beer styles. Out of the nine Ohio beers that won awards, just one was Columbus based.

BrewDog took home the bronze medal for their signature American style fruit-beer, Elvis Juice.

Of the nine award-winning beers, four achieved the highest honor at the festival: the gold medal. From Cincinnati to Cleveland, with beers ranging from wheat beers to strong ales and black IPAs to lagers, here are the winners.
