OSU Students are literally living a dream life.
Not only are they attending an awesome college, but they also now have access to one of the greatest inventions mankind has ever willed into being: a bacon vending machine.
That’s right. The Ohio Pork Council has added a Bacon Vending Machine to campus, giving students ready-to-eat bacon for $1 until December 13.
The machine is located in the Animal Science Building at the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at the Ohio State University.
“The Bacon Vending Machine is a unique and fun way for the Ohio Pork Council to support Ohio State students and promote the pork industry at the same time,” said President-Elect Dave Shoup, Ohio Pork Council.

The pork inside the machine was donated by Hormel, Sugardale, and Smithfield and proceeds from the vending machine will benefit the meat science program at OSU.
“The meat science program is excited to partner with the Ohio Pork Council through the Bacon Vending Machine project,” said Lyda G. Garcia, assistant professor of meat science in the Department of Animal Sciences.
I don’t know that I would eat bacon out of a vending machine, but I don’t 100% know that I wouldn’t either. I do know that college kids probably don’t have as many reservations about eating $1 bacon, which is why this viral campaign will probably do pretty well.
Who’s ready to eat?
