What: This event has been going on for 30 years. More than 535 performers and 65 acts are slated to be there, so set aside some time to celebrate the luck of the Irish this weekend.

GTTM Tour Starring PnB Rock at Newport Music Hall

What:  See this hip hop artist from Philadelphia drop some beats. He’s seen success after his debut album and had two songs on “The Fate of the Furious” soundtrack. General admission is $35. Skip the line for $55.
When: Friday, August 4 from 7 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.

Short North Arts District Food Tour

What: This tour by Columbus Food Adventures will take you through the history of the district while you try out local food vendors. You’ll sample signature dishes and hear great stories on this 1.5-mile long tour. Tickets are $58.
When: Friday, August 4 at 11 a.m.
Where: Short North Arts District, High Street, Columbus.

Ohio: The Start of It All Exhibit

What: Presented by the Ohio Arts Council’s Riffe Gallery, this exhibition features original art from children’s books. The works are from the University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum.
When: Friday, August 4 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Columbus Black International Film Festival

What: The film festival showcases Black filmmakers and the variety of stories they have to tell. It will also provide learning opportunities such as workshops and panels. See details for the screenings here, and check out our preview of the event.

What: Bring a white shirt and a pool tube and get ready to glow. By the end of the evening, you’ll be decked out in neon water colors.

99.7 The Blitz Great Summer Smokeout featuring Halestorm

What: Check out this band that formed in 1997 in Pennsylvania. The group won a Grammy for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance with their single “Love Bites (So Do I)” in 2013.

Fam Jam 2017

What: This free family festival, hosted by Franklin County Children Services and the City of Columbus, will have food, entertainment, and community resource booths. Take the kiddos out for some fun.

Wizard World Comic Con

Run! For RescuedOhio!

What: This run is supposed to bring attention to the rescue’s work with dogs who need it. If you have a vaccinated pup, feel free to bring it along. You’ll get a shirt, goodie bag, and medal for participating.

Peddler’s Picnic

Mingle With Our Mutts

What: If you’re thinking of getting a pup, go see the adoptable doggos at the shelter. They’ll appreciate it so much, and you’ll feel good for doing a doggo some good.
