The Toxic Avenger

What: This weekend at the Short North Stage come to see the hilarious monster musical, The Toxic Avenger. “Toxie” is New Jersey’s first superhero, a seven-foot rock music loving monster.

KPD Warehouse Sale

What: KP Designs & Associates is hosting a big warehouse and showroom sale. Browse their scratch and dent furniture as well as a variety of custom pieces to make any home space unique.

Columbus Black International Film Festival

What: The second annual Columbus Black International Film Festival will take place this weekend at the Wexner Center for the Arts and the Gateway Film Center. The festival will feature independent black film artists that tell the stories of black lives and cultures.

Craft Brew At The Zoo

What: The Columbus Zoo wraps up its summer concert series with Craft Brew At The Zoo presented by Columbus Brewing Company. This event will feature country and rock musician Uncle Kracker. Tickets are $30, $25 for zoo members.

Field To Table 2018

What: The Women’s Board at Franklin Park Conservatory welcomes over 700 guests to the conservatory for a cocktail hour and multi-course dinner, featuring dishes made from Ohio’s gardens and farms. All proceeds go to the Conservatory’s community gardening outreach programs.
When: August 24, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

YFN Lucci

What: American rapper YFN Lucci takes the stage at the Newport this weekend. Tickets are only $35.

Egyptian Festival

What: The Egyptian Festival shares heritage, culture, traditions and culinary skills with Columbus. Enjoy homemade authentic Egyptian food and pastries, as well as church tours, henna drawings, games, children’s activities, and more. Admission is free!

Breakaway Music Festival

What: Breakaway Music Festival is one of the biggest music festivals in the midwest. The line-up at the fest is pretty awesome this year, with Halsey, Khalid, Odesza, and Migos as headliners. One day tickets are $70. Three-day tickets are $169.

Grandview Hop

What: Take a stroll down Grandview Ave for a relaxing and fun evening.The Grandview Hop features live music, local shopping, art, food, and a pop-up beer garden.

BrewDog Annual General Mayhem ft. Cold War Kids

What: This is BrewDog’s second annual General Mayhem where they celebrate craft beer, community, and the beauty of independent breweries. There will be music from a variety of bands including Cold War Kids, and there will be craft brews from 10 different breweries.
When: August 25, 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Columbus Summer Wine Festival

What: This year’s Columbus Summer Wine Festival will be held at the Columbus Commons. The event is designed to showcase some of Ohio’s best wines. All proceeds go to benefit CD102.5 for the Kids. The event will also feature artisan exhibits, food trucks, and live entertainment. Tickets are $30.

Urban Scrawl #12

What: Franklinton Arts District is hosting its 12th annual Urban Scrawl. This is a 2-day arts festival featuring the live creation of murals by talented artists from Central Ohio and beyond. You can view the full schedule of artists as well as a list of food vendors on their website.

Matsuricon

What: Matsuricon is back at the Columbus Convention Center for a three day convention of all things anime, video games, and pop culture. Bust out your best cosplay for this year’s medieval theme.

Metro Parks Climbing Festival

What: This weekend is the third annual Metro Parks Climbing Festival. There will be climbing clinics for beginners, competitions, slacklining, local vendors, food vendors and more! The first day will end with a family-friendly movie and the option of overnight family camping.
