Happy weekend Columbus, I hope your week was as productive as mine was. It’s been a little rainy lately but rain or shine Columbus is still full of exciting things to do! Here are 16 of the best this weekend.

What: Head down to the Gateway Film Center this weekend for the seventh annual Film Festival of Columbus. The festival features film submissions from both new and veteran film makers. For a full schedule of films click here. Ticket prices range from $5 to $15 based on the type of screening.

What: Another one of my favorite parts of summer- Catholic church fundraising festivals! There’s always multiple every year and this weekend there’s one at St. Cecilia’s church. Get your fix of festival rides and funnel cakes. There will also be raffles, children’s activities, and live music.
When: August 10, 5 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Where: 434 Norton Road
What: The Nationals is the premeir Mopar enthusiast event. There’s six different types of car entries and spectator admission is available all three days. A one day pass is $25.
When: August 10-12, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: National Trail Raceway

What: The Grove City EcoFest uses education and experience to promote sustainability and innovation within their community. There will be a variety of vendors and food trucks, a kids art zone, a bike rodeo, a health and fitness zone, and education centers about environmental sustainability. The event is free to participate!
When: August 11, 9 a.m. to 2 pm.
Where: Park Street & Arbutus Avenue, Downtown Grove City
What: The Farmers’ Festival celebrates the oldest farmers market in Central Ohio. There will be tons of local fresh produce and vendors along with kids crafts and facepaint, farm animals from Shady Grove Farm, and more! The market event is free so bring the whole family!
When: August 11, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: The North Market
What: Join the Worthington Parks & Rec Department to relax and enjoy local musicians, family activities, games, food vendors and more! The event is free for the whole family and a great way to spend a summer evening before the kids go back to school.
When: August 11, 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Worthington Village Green
What: The Mid-Ohio Indie Author Book Expo is an opportunity for readers to meet with some amazing independently published authors of all genres. Parking and admission are free. There will also be a reading corner for kids to explore while parents mingle.
When: August 11, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where: Vaughn Hairston YMCA, 3500 First Avenue
What: Calling all beer lovers! The Columbus Summer Beerfest is this Saturday at Express Live! There will be over 130 breweries showcasing their flavor along with a night full of live music. Regular admission tickets are $55 on the day of the event. Be safe and have a designated driver buy a beer-free ticket for only $20. Ticket prices are based on time of day.

What: This outdoor street festival and market place is hosted by the Gay Street District with over 100 street vendoors and the local businesses along Gay St.

What: Head to MAPFRE Stadium to cheer on the Columbus Crew as they take on the Houston Dynamo. Tickets start at $27.

What: Grove City is hosting their annual Bourbon Tasting this weekend. Attendees 21 and older will have the opportunity to taste eight samples for just $20. There will be food trucks, cigars from Burning Leaf Cigars, and live music.

What: Easton Town Center is having a superhero day! Enjoy games, costumed characters, superhero crafts, face painting, live music, create your own comic, see lightsaber demonstrations, and more! Grab your cape and get ready!

What: Everything Latino will be at Genoa park this Saturday and Sunday. There will dance lessons, live music, delicious Latino food vendors, artist showcases and so much more. Learn and experience Latino culture, new and old.

What: The Flavored Nation event features iconic dishes and drinks from all 50 states, celebrity chefs, and cooking demostrations. Tickets are $45 the day of the event and include 10 tasting tickets.

Where: Greater Columbus Convention Center
What: Columbus Landmarks Foundation invites you to join their Endangered Buildings Tour to learn about the nine most endangered buildings in Columbus. The Landmarks Foundation works tirelessly to preserve the unique, historical buildings that make Columbus fabulous. The tour stops half way for brewery refreshments!
