If there’s one thing that I remember about junior year of high school, it’s the absurd amount of times we quoted Napolean Dynamite.
When that masterpiece (I’m not saying that ironically) came out, it dominated my friend group. We watched it several times, quoted it daily, and even inspired an admittedly short “Vote for Pedro” campaign for student government.
This experience is not unique for a lot of people my age. Napoleon Dynamite was an instant cult classic. The characters are weird and yet endearing, the one-liners are off the charts, and the cast was impeccable. That last point is pretty important, considering they’re going to be here in just a few months.
That’s right folks. CAPA and Cinema Columbus are bringing Napoleon Dynamite: A Conversation with Jon Heder, Efren Ramirez, and Jon Gries to the Palace Theatre. On May 14th, fans can gather to watch a screening of the film, followed by a lively discussion with Napoleon, Pedro, and Uncle Rico themselves.
Tickets for the event start at $25 and can be purchased here.
I know you’re excited. Go ahead and let it all out. Dance like the whole school is watching.
