An iconic annual festival is returning this year.
The 74th Annual Sweet Corn Festival will take place at Historic Lions Park in Millersport. Now that Governor DeWine has issued new health orders that allow the return of fairs and festivals, the Sweet Corn Festival will return September 1-4.
“We will do everything possible to comply with the latest health and safety guidelines issued by the Ohio Department of Agriculture and the Ohio Department of Health to protect the health and safety of our community, patrons and volunteers” said Ron Keller, General Chairman. “We will work closely with the Fairfield County Board of Health during our planning efforts.”
When it comes to keeping attendees safe, the festival has a few guidelines that you’ll need to follow. Festival goers will need to wear face coverings, maintain social distancing, and follow posted COVID signage. Additionally, individuals should stay home if they have a fever, cough or other signs of COVID.
“We have every intention of hosting the 2021 Sweet Corn Festival for the public good in an effort to help 65 Central Ohio non-profit organizations rebuild their depleted treasuries after doing their part to serve those in need during the COVID Pandemic above their normal charitable giving. The health and safety of our volunteers, participants, sponsors, and community continues to be our top priority. The return of the Festival will be a big boost for Millersport and the greater Buckeye Lake area,” said Keller.
