Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine Spreads His Campaign Platform On A Statewide Tour

Ohio Governor hopeful kicks off his campaign with a tour of Ohio.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine wasted no time in getting his campaign for Governor moving. Just a day after his recent announcement for his bid for the Republican nomination the 70-year-old veteran politician was already on the road.

DeWine’s statewide tour is designed to spread his platform and opinions on key issues like health care, a stance that has recently come under fire by Ohio Democrats. “Before kicking off his campaign, Mike DeWine should have figured out where he stands on one of the key issues facing our state,” said Democratic Party Chairman David Pepper in a statement, “Either DeWine doesn’t remember what his position is or he’s being a cynical politician.”

Democrats are accusing the Ohio Attorney General of doublespeak when it comes to ideas on Obamacare and health care in general. DeWine, however, seems to want to focus his platform on concepts of security. The veteran Republican references the recent cyber attacks by pro-ISIS activists as well as the statewide opiate crisis as issues of vital concern. As of now, the Ohio Governor hopeful continues his state tour in hopes of garnering further Republican support.
