Still heartbroken from the closure of Outlook Ohio Magazine? Well, this should brighten up your day! Equitas Health has announced a new LGBTQ publication, Prizm.
According to a press release, Prizm won’t just be available in print. It will also provide digital news focusing on ” current events, health, arts & culture, fashion, politics, news, travel and entertainment and will serve as a resource for the LGBTQ community.”
The project is being helmed by Carol Zimmer Clark, a publisher for the Dayton Business Journal since early 2011.
“I am excited about the opportunity to work with the team to build a publication of this type and in this market because of the potential it has to not only serve as a critical resource for the LGBTQ community but also the opportunity to help support Equitas Health’s programs and services from a social enterprise perspective,” said Clark, Publisher for Prizm, in a press release.
In addition to Clark, former Outlook staff members Mike Moffo, Bob Vitale and Staley Munroe will join the Prizm team.
“This new business venture presents a unique opportunity for Equitas Health to serve Ohio’s LGBTQ communities and to have an outlet in which to share our stories and experiences. Our move into this area is strategically aligned with our mission to serve LGBTQ communities across Ohio,” said Bill Hardy, Equitas Health’s President & CEO.
Prizm is planning to launch in October 2017 with free pick-up distribution planned across the state. For updates, please visit Prizmnews.com.
