Bad News Katy Perry Fans, Her Latest Tour And Columbus Show Has Been Postponed

Fans of the eccentric pop songstress are in for some really disappointing news.

Bad news for Katy Perry fans. If you were anticipating checking out Katy’s performance in the Capital City later this year you’re going to have to wait just a little while longer. The singer and pop icon has just announced a delay for her latest tour, “Witness”.

“Due to unavoidable production delays, major elements of my tour stage design could not be available for me to rehearse on until this week,” Katy said in a statement, “I’ll be spending the next few weeks taking the time to properly prepare the show to be an experience I am proud to share with you. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but hope everyone who sees the show will agree it was worth the wait.”

The pop star was set to perform at Columbus’ Schottenstein Center on September 7 but her performance has been pushed all the way to the 24th of that same month. As much of a bummer as this all is, many fans seem more than understanding about the ordeal.

There is a bit of good news to go with the tour postponement. Katy has announced the opening line-up of her tour and it’s an all star cast of big names in music. We’re talking Noah Cyrus, Purity Ring, and Carly Rae Japsen.

With the show pushed back a full two weeks, you now have a little extra time to purchase tickets. For info on how you can get yours, visit the Schottenstein Center’s website right here.
