Kale And Ale Festival Canceled

Gone, but not forgotten, the Columbus Kale and Ale Festival has been canceled.

What sounded like a festival all about the pairing of beer and everyone’s favorite leafy green, Kale, wasn’t that at all. The festival was intended to be a celebration of locally sourced food and beer, but it got lost in the name.

“The connection from farm to table wasn’t made,” Olivia Davis, director of festival operations told The Dispatch.

Due to low ticket sales, the festival has been called off. If you already purchased your ticket, it should have been refunded. There will be a special, complimentary food tasting for ticketholders and volunteers at CD102.5 at the Big Room Bar with a concert by Doc Robinson.

The organizers of the event are still holding the Kale & Ale festival in Cinci and Cleveland and will attempt to hold the Columbus fest next year.
