Governor John Kasich is hitting up Late Night talk shows, talking about how young people are the future of America, and visiting key swing states.
But he’s not ready to say that the’s running for President yet.
The governor stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers to talk about the hope he sees in Gen X and Millennials, as well as navigating a hyper-partisan world of politics.
Kasich also shared his feelings about DACA and the dreamers. “You’ve got kids that were brought here, who were five or six years old, who are now in their twenties right? And now we’re going to deport them. They’re fully integrated into our society,” said Kasich.
He also went on to voice his disgust for partisan politics, and the way DACA is being used a political hostage. “This should be done in 5 minutes. They should not be used as a pawn to negotiate anything else. These people are living on a razor’s edge worrying about their future,” said Kasich.
As of this moment, Kasich hasn’t announced his intentions to run against Donald Trump in 2020. But I think it’s safe to say that another presidential run is coming for the Governor.
