This Fitness-Focused Hotel Is Now Open In The Short North/OSU Area

A new fitness-focused hotel is open on W. 5th Ave.

Hyatt House OSU-Short North is a 152-room hotel offering a unique, affordable place to stay in the Short North/Campus area.

Hyatt House is an easy walk to Ohio Stadium and all of the other amenities on campus, as well as a short distance from the James Cancer Hospital and Wexner Medical Center. The hotel also features 2,000 square feet of flexible meeting space with indoor and outdoor breakout options.

Each room at the hotel is pet-friendly and guest suites come with a fully equipped kitchen with separate spaces to eat, sleep, and chill. The fully loaded fitness center is pretty incredible, complete with an indoor pool, Rogue Fitness equipment, and a Peloton Bike so that visitors don’t have to miss out on exercising while traveling.

Right behind Hyatt House, guests can take a stroll along the Olentangy Trail or rent a bike to ride along the 13-mile riverside trail.

But it’s not all about working out. H Bar has a gorgeous outdoor patio where you can sip on local craft spirits and beers. There are outdoor grills, a fire pit, and even a bocce ball court.

General Manager Victor Patterson has been in hospitality management for over two decades, and he’s bringing all of that experience to Hyatt House.

“The Hyatt House OSU-Short North is a great addition to the dynamic Victorian Village and Short North neighborhoods, as well as the OSU campus,” said Patterson. “Now more than ever, travelers demand a safe, comfortable place that feels like home and offers plenty of options for focusing on wellbeing.”

The hotel opened on July 28 and if you’d like to find out more, book a stay, or learn more about the hotel’s amenities, you can visit
