How would you like to spend Oktoberfest in Munich?
Sounds pretty great, right? Just in case you don’t know, Oktoberfest is a yearly celebration held in Munich, Germany. It all started back in 1809 as a royal wedding celebration. Since then, it’s grown into the largest folk festival in the world, with parades, live music, entertainment, carnival rides, food, and of course, beer.
When I say beer, I mean a lot of beer. In 2015, the festival officially served enough beer to fill nearly three (2.9) Olympic-size swimming pools.
So now that you have an idea of what to expect at Oktoberfest, let’s talk about how to get there. Hofbrähaus Columbus has teamed up with 92.3 WCOL to off a trip for two to Munich. The trip, from September 23-25, includes round trip airfare for 2, a hotel stay at the Hotel Platz in Munich, a pair of VIP Oktoberfest passes, and $1,000 spending cash!
If a free trip to one of the best parties in the world sounds right up your alley, there are a few ways to enter. You can register online via WCOL or you can stop into Hofbrähaus Columbus and sign up in person.
Hofbrähaus Columbus is located at 800 Goodale Blvd. They’re open Monday-Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more info, you can visit their website here.
