A One Day Screening Of Hocus Pocus Is Coming To The Ohio Theatre And You Can Totally Come In Costume

Calling all basic witches! You need to clear your schedules.

On October 20th at 3 p.m., CAPA is blessing us with a special Halloween event. Spook Out Movie Magic will be an evening that is sure to pique your nostalgia. The Ohio Theatre will host a screening of Disney’s Hocus Pocus, with pre-show and intermission entertainment from CAPA organist Clark Wilson, and a Hocus Pocus-themed costume contest.

Tickets to the Spook Out Movie Magic event are only $5 and will be available one hour prior to showtime at the Ohio Theatre kiosk (cash only) or you can grab them online.

This is obviously the perfect time to show off that witchy costume you’ve been working. Patrons are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Hocus Pocus characters and then register for the competition. The categories are Best Individual Costume and Best Group Costume.

The doors open at 2 p.m. and all competitors must be signed up by 2:30 p.m. At 2:40 p.m., the competitors will parade into the theatre where the costumes will be judged. The winners will be announced during intermission and will receive a CAPA gift certificate.

Are we the only ones who are very freaking excited about this? Come on 90s kids, let’s do this.
