Highlights Documentary Will Debut At Gateway Film Center

Highlights Magazine has a special place in the heart of millions of Americans. For the past 70 years, the children’s magazine has inspired and enthralled kids.

But as the print industry begins to slow down, how will Highlights stay relevant? This 90-minute documentary chronicling the history and philosophy of the Highlights brand is having its debut right here in Columbus, where the magazine is based.

The documentary is called ’44 Pages’ and it will premiere at Gateway Film Center on August 31. The film will run until September 7th.

Guests are invited to attend a special viewing on Saturday, September 2. Presented by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, and Barnes and Noble, the event begins at 2 p.m. and will include refreshments, as well as an opportunity to get a signed copy of the anniversary issue of Highlights.

There will also be a panel after the film with producer Rebecca Green and Highlights for Children CEO Kent Johnson. Guests are invited to ask questions.
