There is good news for fans of Indian cuisine. A new, upscale Indian restaurant will be opening in Columbus by the end of the year.

Haveli Bistro will be opening at 185 N High Street in November or December after an interior remodel of the space. The building has been empty for several years and many Columbus residents have been wondering what would eventually fill the vacancy. Haveli Bistro will occupy the two-story 5,000 square foot space, bringing in new floors, bar tops, lighting fixtures, artwork, and more.

Haveli Bistro is owned by Rahul Pinnamaneni and Hari Parupalli.

“We are in the perfect location to embrace the neighboring businesses, convention center, and residents as well as tourists,” said Pinnamaneni in a release. “Our food and drink menu will be approachable, yet interesting with a wide variety of options.”

The menu will include both modern and traditional dishes, from both the North and South parts of India.

“Our highly experienced chefs use high-quality ingredients and pay attention to detail that adds taste and aroma to the food,” said Pinnamaneni. “Traditional favorites, as well as new twists, line our menu of appetizers, soup and salads, entrees, and desserts.”

In addition to the food items, the restaurant will also offer bar services, including a daily happy hour.

“We offer local and imported wines, a wide variety of spirits and creative cocktails as well as a happy hour food menu that will be fun, unique and original,” said co-owner Hari Parupalli.

Once the renovations are complete, the restaurant will be open daily, offering a lunch buffet and dinner service.
