It’s Harry Potter’s Birthday, But We Get The Magical Gift

It’s Harry Potter’s birthday, and we have some good news: the Harry Potter Film Concert Series is returning to Columbus.

Close your eyes and peer back into your childhood. Go ahead.

Think about when you went to see the new Harry Potter movie after waiting forever and wondering how your favorite part in the book will look on screen. Now think of that twinge of excitement when the cloudy title sequence started. What’s the most memorable part? It has to be that all-too-familiar musical score, right?

The Columbus Symphony will perform John Williams’ Grammy-nominated score as Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets plays on a 40-foot screen. Starting Friday, August 18, tickets will go on sale for the event.

Tickets range from $47.50 to $87.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. The actual event will take place at the Ohio Theatre on Saturday, January 27, 2018. You can purchase tickets at the CAPA Ticket Center or through Ticketmster

If you’re still waiting for a letter from Hogwarts, this musical magic will make the wait a little easier.

Happee Birthdae, Harry.
