Is there such a thing as “too much” news when it comes to Hamilton? I think not.
If you aren’t a season ticket holder through CAPA, you’ve probably been wondering when you can try to get your hands on Hamilton tickets. Well, don’t worry. Your chance is coming up.
Producer Jeffrey Seller, the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA), and Broadway in Columbus (BIC) has announced that tickets for Hamilton will be available online through Ticketmaster Verified Fan®, starting (and probably ending, let’s be real) on Thursday, November 15, at 10:00 AM EST.
Verified Fan is a fancy new technology from Ticketmaster that lets pre-registered fans to unlock access to tickets without competing against scalpers and bots.
“Verified Fan is the newest program to make tickets available to theatre-goers at regular prices. I am confident that it will be a valuable service to our fans. We know how challenging it is to buy tickets, and this new Ticketmaster program will make the process a whole lot easier,” said Sellers.
To snag your Hamilton tix, you’ll need to register through Ticketmaster Verified Fan before November 12 at 11:59 p.m. Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive an email on November 14 if you have been selected for the Verified Fan sale. Tickets will be available for performances during January 29-February 17, 2019.
There is a maximum limit purchase of four tickets per household, and ticket prices will range from $63-$199. As we mentioned last week, there will be a lottery for the Columbus show, which will sell 40 seats per performance for $10 each. If that price is more your speed, you can read about that here.
If you’d like to buy your tickets old-school style, a limited number of tickets will be available at the Ohio Theatre (39 East State Street) starting at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 15. There will most definitely be a line, but grab a few friends and some warm clothes and make a fun morning of it!
