Geordie’s Restaurant Will Be Your New Favorite English Pub

Your new favorite English pub-style restaurant is opening next week, and we got to head in for a sneak peek!

Geordie’s Restaurant, located at 1586 S High Street, is the result of passion and a lot of hard work by owner and chef Glen Hall-Jones. The name Geordie’s is an affectionate nod by Hall-Jones to the regional nickname for people of his native North East England.

His heritage is reflected in both the style of the restaurant and the menu. Pub fare on the menu will include Bangers & Mash, Fish & Chips, Cornish Pasty, and even mini pork wellingtons.

The highlight of Saturday’s brunch will be the Build your own Bloody Mary bar, where guests can customize their spicy brekkie cocktails to their liking.

As for the decor of the pub, it’s a knockout. It’s warm and inviting but it doesn’t have that Americanized-pub problem of feeling cluttered or unkempt. Maybe that’s because it’s truly authentic. Glen shared that he fell in love with the building immediately specifically because it reminded him of his pub back home in England, and that love shows through in the thoughtful design.

The restaurant will host soft launches next week before officially opening to the public on May 31st. For updates and more information, you can visit their Facebook page.
