Cruising around in a hot air balloon has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid.
The idea of getting a birds-eye view of Ohio from such an iconic form of transportation has always been appealing, and now it can be a reality.
The All Ohio Balloon Festival is a great way to spend your afternoon, but it’s even more delightful that you can sign up for either a hot air balloon or helicopter ride. On Friday and Saturday, you’ll definitely want to bring the kiddos. Kidz City is for children 10 and younger and it has balloon artists, bounce houses, slides, and even an obstacle course.

Throughout the three day festival, there will also be live music and plenty of places to grab a drink or a bite to eat.
The lineup for the All Ohio Balloon Fest is pretty awesome. On Thursday night, On Thursday night, The Remedy Band and Dan Orr Project will play before headliner and iconic rock band ZZ Top goes on. On Friday, performers include Michael Christopher/Jacked Up and LOCASH, followed by Blu Kuda and Bon Journey on Saturday.
Tickets for Thursday night are $30 per person (no matter your age). On Friday & Saturday, visitors can purchase a general admission weekend pass for $10, with kids 10 and under getting in for free. Parking will be an additional $5. Fair warning, getting into this event will be cash only, so don’t forget to hit the ATM.
The festival will take place from August 9-11 at the Union County Airport. Festival goers should use the entrance located at 15000 Weaver Road in Marysville.
